Bouleau DK | 100% Canadian Undyed Wool Yarn

Bouleau DK is a small batch DK weight wool yarn, sourced and made entirely within Ontario, Canada. Created in collaboration with two Ontario farms, this proudly Canadian wool yarn brings together traceable sourcing, thoughtful milling, and the natural beauty of locally grown fleece.

Eighty percent of the wool in Bouleau DK comes from Pasture Hill Farm, where the flock is made up of Dorset, Cheviot, and Rideau Arcott. The remaining twenty percent comes from Norbouillet wool sourced from Pine Hollow Farm. Together, these fibres create a yarn with depth, character, and a beautifully grounded sense of place. Bouleau is then spun at Wellington Fibres in Elora, Ontario.

This small batch collection is available in three natural shades, with the colour variation coming from the Norbouillet fleece. Those fleeces were carefully sorted into three distinct colour families, creating the subtle tonal shifts and natural variation that define this collection.

Spun as a round, bouncy three ply in a semi worsted style, Bouleau DK offers beautiful stitch definition, softness, and structure. Its smooth, lofty construction makes it especially well suited to sweaters, vests, hats, mitts, and other everyday knits where texture, stockinette, and cables can truly shine.
